When we shift our mindset to think of the abundance of what we already have in our lives, we welcome more optimism, more happiness, and more gratitude. Some studies have shown that when someone constantly expresses gratitude in their life, their mental health changes for the better, people are able to “bounce back” easier when encountering challenges, they’re happier overall… just the few examples of how gratitude makes you a better person.
I challenge you today to take the time to create a gratitude list. What made you happy today? If something bad happened today, what was one positive outcome of the situation? Although this “coffee break” asks to create a list for this day, I encourage you to create a list for the week/month. Whether it be big or small, all things are worth acknowledging.
What are you thankful for today?
